party
“Liberating, inspiring, rejuvenating euphoria!” - Brad Whelan

Hands down, the craziest party event you will go to all year !

Let this sink in:
There is a hosted party room (free alcohol), open to all (anyone over 18), with a different theme every night (Fri, Sat, Sun), designated for club dancing/letting loose (not specifically partner dancing), with a DJ spinning party & contemporary music. The whole thing STARTS at 2am, (after the live bands finish) and goes till at least sunrise, often later. Bounce to your heart’s content between the party room and the WCS room, which will be going all night too. ...You might want to read that again. ;)

They come from two different backgrounds: Philippe from world of dance competition, and Flore from the world of social dancing. Their complementarity adds flow and uniqueness to their dance style.
They are renowned for their professionalism, their versatility, their passion and their devotion to their students and community. They nurture quality and hard work, always with a touch of humor. You have never attended one of their classes? Do not wait!

Kyle & Melody
Kyle, a Canadian, and Melodie, from France, discovered West Coast Swing at 17 and 14, respectively. They both fell in love with the dance and each other on the dance floor. Now, with their backgrounds shaping their unique approach, they travel the world, sharing their knowledge and passion. Through their teaching, they make West Coast Swing accessible to all, fostering a vibrant global community. Join them on the dance floor to experience the magic for yourself!

Sonya Dessureault
Sonya began her career when she went to school for modern dance in her hometown of Montreal, Quebec. Afterwards, she worked professionally as a salsa and latin street dance teacher. It was at a salsa congress that she discovered west coast swing through a crossover performance. Sonya loved the freedom of expression and knew she had found her dance. With her trademark intensity, she trained and quickly moved up the ranks. She took a risk and left everything she had in Montreal and went to Europe. She began by teaching at a west coast swing event and from there was invited to teach all over the continent. Sonya believes all great dancing comes from learning to understand and then finding the freedom in what you know. She’s known for her fierce commitment to personal growth in herself and others, both on the floor and off.

JErome Subey
Jerome has been dancing for 15 years, starting in France but spending most of his training in the US and Canada. He has enjoyed much success in Champions Jack & Jills and the Showcase division.
"One of the most important thing you can do as a dancer, anything in life to go back to your ground so you are stable before you build something on top."
Jerome is dancing and training every day. " You must evolve all the time and try to improve yourself," Jerome says. As a teacher, he embodies the philosophy of always going back to the basics. "West coast swing is a flexible dance because you can dance to so many music styles," he said. "But you never get to the bottom of the basics. I learn new things all the time." As a teacher, he focuses on equipping dancers to practice what they are learning so they can grow effectively. "I am an awkward dancer but I train a lot and I don't look awkward anymore."

Jessie Rosenberg & Leo Cook
Jessie and Leo are passionate West Coast Swing dancers who bring a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to their weekly classes. Jessie began her West Coast Swing journey in 2005 with the Caltech Ballroom Club, while Leo discovered the dance in 2015 through a local ballroom studio and never looked back. They met in Montreal in 2018 through JT Swing Teams and have been dancing together ever since. Recently married, Jessie and Leo are currently competing their third Rising Star routine together on the national WCS circuit. As active competitors and travelers deeply immersed in the national West Coast Swing scene, they love the dance for its casual feel, creativity, partnership, and the vibrant community it fosters worldwide.

Stéphanie grisé
Music has always been a big part of Stephanie's life. From her teenage years, she began musical training which she continued until obtaining her diploma as a professional musician, specializing in Jazz and Popular music.
During her musical studies, she joined a Hip Hop crew and dabbled in several other dance styles thanks to her teacher who integrated them into her choreographies.
It was 12 years later, at the end of 2022, that she discovered WCS. It was only natural for her to join the local DJ team and put to contribution her experience and varied repertoire.
WCS represents a huge playground for her and above all an opportunity to share all her love of music and dance with you.
